![]() I want to pay for the Pro version to have all the extras the Basic free doesn't have. I already own the full AVG Internet Suite of tools and I don't want/need another copy of. Is it possible not to install the AVG Anti Virus when installing the Pro version? How can I eliminate AVG from the package? Thanks |

![]() Thanks for the update. So it is another Anti Virus program... I wonder if it would be allowed to be installed since AVG (full and paid) already protecting that computer... Don't need another conflict. Looks like I will skip the Pro and stay with the Basic. |

![]() I have not heard of any conflicts before. Though someone else has asked how to disable it for same reason of having their own AVG. It actually runs silently in background, more so than regular AV's. I have not had it clash with my AV. |

![]() The differences between Basic & Pro are really rather subtle. Pro is good for those seeking the less common files in searches. With 2 extra peers it connects to & an internal improvement in search it can find a little extra. As for downloading, basic connects to a maximum of 8 hosts per file compared to Pro's 10. So arguably should be able to get slightly faster downloads. But many people say they don't notice any difference at all so it's up to the particular person's findings. ![]() |
