I have used LimeWire three months ago on this machine and it worked OK. I have loaded the new Limewire 2.4 and the latest j2re 1.4 on Mandrake 8.2 it fails to load on the LimeWire install.

Using the terminal shell load after loading the j2re rpm packages successfully it comes up with the Errors:

Unrecognized JVM specific option -Xmx 50331648
and Xms 1677216.

Suspect a fault someware as Mandreake 7.2,8.0 and j2re 1.3 worked OK with the older Lime wire.

Did you try my example in the thread, "The Solution to All Install Problems"? If you had and it still doesn't work, please message me as there should really be no reason that your system shouldn't work as I have the same setup (sort of).
