Default limewire on linux

i am using mandrake 8.2 and i am trying to install LimeWire which i got to work on Redhat 7.3 the problem is i don't think java is installed correctly but i am not sure here is my bash_profile script i posted it before and i was told that
it was fine.

# .bash_profile

# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi

PATH=/usr/java/j2re14/bin:$PATH
mesg n

(the only line i entered was the java line and i got that off the inernet, this is where jave is installed
/usr/java/j2re14/bin/ )

This is the error i get trying to install LimeWire running this bash_profile:

Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `Xmx50331648',
Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `Xms16777216',
Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. This Application will now exit. (LAX)

Question ummm

well well... I had the exact same problem. when I removed kaffe, it gave me this:
Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

Launching installer...

/usr/bin/java: /usr/bin/kaffe: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/java: exec: /usr/bin/kaffe: cannot execute: No such file or directory

???? I am sooooo confused....

How did you remove kaffe from your system? Did you in turn after removing kaffe, install the java binary or installation package from sun, ibm, or blackdown.

After a second look. I see that your kaffe was improperly removed. Second, you can not relink over an existing link. You will have to ...:

rm /usr/bin/java

remove the link first before you can reestablish a new link to your new jvm (ie /usr/java/j2re14 in your case).

P.S. I will post my new installation "howto" changes to the thread dealing with the "Solution to All...". The instructions posted there are easy to misconstrue and misinterpret and leave many questions. Those issues will be addressed/uploaded/updated.
