Error installing Limewire Hi folks, Every time I try to install LimeWire i get the following error message : ERROR : failed /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.0_01/jre/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so, because libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Can anybody help me with this? thx |
Different This might be a possible CLASSPATH problem. Try to add this to your .bashrc or .bash_profile: export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH then type this command to immediately use the change in the same session: source .bash_profile Then try to reinstall LimeWire. altoine |
Not working The solution you mentioned didn't work. The same problem continues to occur with my debian after the export too. Rex mentioned a possible solution to link libstdc++-lib6.2-2.so.3 to libstdc++-lib6.1-1.so.2, but the problem is that I don't have that kind of files on my computer at all! So what I would really apreciate, would be a hint of what packages should I have installed if I want to install Limewire. The Java environment is definitely not enough. |
