Creating Launcher on Redhat Linux 8.0 Hi all, does anyone know how to create a launcher for LimeWire on Redhat Linux 8.0? I've tried the following in the command field in the "Launcher Properties": cd /root/LimeWire;sh ./runLime.sh If I try this in a terminal window it works fine. Anyone know what the problem is? Cheers Graeme :) |
LimeWire launcher You should use the command ~/LimeWire/LimeWire just replace the ~ with whereever you have LimeWire's folder. If this fails to work then look at some other postings here that detail a problem with the limewire startup script. There is a typo in the file LimeWire.lax which nicely messes things up. |
in launcher command line I put java -jar /home/edward/LimeWire/limewire.jar and that worked. I have it installed on my home directory inside a folder called LimeWire. Ed HOWEVER...2.7.3 runs the startup wizard everytime you start it up. This is an error in LimeWire (has nothing to do with the link) |
should be runlime.jar |
