![]() I have a dual booting system XP/Redhat 8.0 2.4 18-14. Duron 1.0 Ghz. Modem Blaster V.92, although my Isp doesn't support it yet. I've downloaded and installed beta drivers for operation under Linux from www.mbsi.com. This pretty much allows me to surf, albeit slowly, and make the occasional slow download. When operating Limewire under linux though I tend to have frequent hang-ups. Are there better drivers available, or should I invest in a hardware modem? I rarely experience this when operating under XP. Also this modem won't connect at 52.2 even though it's rated at 56k. 33.6 has been the best that I get. Anyone else with a similar configuration experiencing these problems? |
