corrupt jre I know corrupt jres are suposed to be a typical problem, but this is weird. I am able to get LimeWireOther.bin to install, and have in the past been able to install from LimeWireLinux.bin. The interface in LimeWireOther is completely crippled, I can't click ok anywhere, in Linux it was nice. So... Now if I try to install LimeWireLinux.bin straight after installation, I get: Preparing to install... [: not: unexpected operator Error: no such file 'ERROR: cannot find executable version of /tmp/install.dir.22439/Linux/resource/jre/bin/jre' I edit the script to force installation in a directory in my home, and this seems to fix this problem, tho I have my doubts (the script executes for less time before I get this error:) The included VM could not be extracted. Please try to download the installer again and make sure that you download using 'binary' mode. Please do not attempt to install this currently downloaded copy. Fine, I'v done this about a dozen times, nadda. When I look through the install_dirs that get made, i find jre.tar.Z, but can't seem to extract it so it does in fact seem to be corrupt (size=2414599) Is there something I can do to get rid of the origional error that won't give me this second one? Thanks, -Dan |
