Fork Bomb also in 2.9
 

Have just installed the new LW 2.9 with latest JRE on my Shrike box.

A few secondsafter succesfully launching LW (maybe 40 - 50 seconds), I se a little message box that cannot be scrolled, my system -including all apps running at the moment- come to a halt.

I have been googling for a while trying to find a solution to no avail.
Am I the only one with this problem?

Is there any solution?

Please see my comment in the thread "fork bomb, instability in 2.8.5, 2.8.6" ... this is not an issue with any specific version of Limewire ... it is something you are likely to see in all future versions of LimeWire from now on, based on the growing use of Threads in Limewire 9each version is going to need at least as many as the previous version)

You need to look into the possibility that your system is limiting the numebr of process you (or your whole system) can run at a time.

This really isnt' a bug in LimeWire ... allthough there are probably things LimeWire could do at install time to warn you if it detects these limitations.
