Talking ANSEVER TO NEW PROBLEM WITH JAVA(simple and fast)!

I GOT IT:

1. Download this TGZ file:

http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...oadother.shtml

2. Type:

tar -xvzf LimeWireLinux.tgz

3. Type:

sh runLime.sh

4. I am so new at this lol and i actually got it he he he!

this isnt letin me edit my posts so

i did download the jre (java runtime environment) (latest version)

but how do i get my computer to run java commands?

If you followed the first poster's instructions you will absolutely not have your java VM properly installed and viewable by the system or LimeWire (same thing, actually). The original poster's goal was to get limewire installed on an already installed and configured java-enabled system. When you type:

which java

and receive an error message or no path, then your computer doesn't have java properly installed and configured for your system.
