Default Shared file

After instalation and durring the setup when I try to choose a directory for ''Shared'' file it gives me a message. ''LimeWire was unable to use the specified directory for saving files. Please try a Different directory.''. I've tried different file names, changing the file permissions but i'm not having any luck.

Where did you install Limewire? Was it as root or as a user? Also when you create a shared directory it also creates an Incomplete directory within the same file folder.

I'm having the same problem with this, has anyone figured anything out about it yet? I installed Limewire as a standard user, not root.

The trick is to set the proper permissions for both the "Shared" directory and the "Incomplete" directory. This solved the problem for me.
