Just Like anyone else.........Java & Limewire Installation Problem okay, I was first told to install java which i did and I now have a problem with that, I'll get to that in a miunte. Of course when I try to install LimeWire I run into problems but from what I can see it doesn't mention Java at all. When I try to run ./configure. I get this in the terminal: loading cache /config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane...yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}...no checking for working aclocal...missing checking for working autoconf...missing checking for working automake...missing checking for working autoheader...missing checking for working makeinfo...found check whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles...no checking for gcc...no checking for cc...no configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH now maybe it has something to do with what i get when i check my java which is: #which java which: no java in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R^/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin) i downloaded Java from Sun and followed things pretty well from what I though but it doesn't seem to work. I don't want to give up.....I refuse to return to Windows at all costs!!!!:D |
