Default Still problems with java vm

hi, i have done all that path stuff etc - and i still get "> Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
> No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
> environment variable. You must install a VM prior to" so has anyone else got any fixes? im using fedora core one - and i know java is installed right cos i can get on java webchat
