 *Very* slow launching (like 4 minutes...) Hi all, Just thought I'd give LimeWire a try on two machines on my home network. Both machines are running SuSE 9.0, Java version 1.4.2.. On one machine, a three-year old Athlon 1.1GHz / 256MB RAM, LimeWire starts and runs very well. On the newer machine, Athlon XP3000, 512MB RAM, attempting to launch LW using any of the scripts supplied results in a very long wait (4 minutes..) before the LW splash screen and the program starting... Then it runs perfectly. An internet connection was / is present in both cases... Any ideas?? Thanks!  |
