Post Installation folder

Hi there,
After downloading LimeWire I wondered if it does matter in which directory I install the program.
I'm using Suse Linux 9.1 Professional and I'm installing LimeWire as root.
But I want to share the program with more users on my computer.
Do i need to install the program in the /usr/share folder or doesn't it matter in which directory I'm installing it?
Who can help me?
Many thanks!
Nomko

Default same here

i have that exact same problem. I want to install limewire into /usr/local/limewire, so i have to su command to be able to do that, and it installs fine and everything, but i want to be able to use the program from my user name, and be able to modify settings, and to be able to download files to a /home/user directory. when i get to the first configure screen that comes up, when i choose a folder like /home/user/downloads, it says "cannot use this folder." i know this has something 2 do with the fact that i installed limewire using su into a root only modify directory. is there any way to install limewire into like /usr/local/limewire, but still use it under my username?

thanks in advance
