![]() I am running RH7.1 (Gnome 1.4). When I try to install Limewire, it hangs at the very beginning. All I see is "Preparing to Install..." I am sure I am not the first person to have this difficulty. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Alex. |

I had several problems: First of all, you must have the ncompress rpm installed. After doing this I still couldn't get the installer to work. I used the following commmand to trace the execution of the script: sh -x ./LimeWireLinux.bin This shows that quite a bit of the script is working correctly. It installs its own jave interpreter and fails (hangs up) when it gets invoked for the first time. I don't see how to fix the problem. I guess we have to wait for the next version... -hugh@csparks.com |
