![]() I'm running Linux Mandrake 8.0. When I launch LimeWire as root I have no problems whatsoever. However, when I am logged on as a user everything works except that I can't download anything. The searches complete but any attempted download gets a busy or cannot download message. I'm sharing to /usr/sbin. Is it that I cannot write to this directory as a user? The firewall should be identical whether I'm root or a user. |

![]() This is a linux security feature and doesn't involve your firewall settings. Only the root user has permission to write to usr/sbin. You can read from it, but you can't write from it. If you logged in as a user, you must save any files you download in your home directory, and then later transfer them to your preferred folder when you are logged in as root. |
