Limewire Linux Insanity...again... earlier this year my limewire linux problem was solved. i was elated. then i formatted my hardrive and installed mandrake 10.1 (fresh). The previous installation were updated from mandrake 9, community, official 10.0 then official 10.1. Now i am unable to install limewire even after installing the latest java jre 1.5.0.02. i still get this message: sh LimeWireLinux.bin Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Configuring the installer for this system's environment... No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH environment variable. You must install a VM prior to running this program. What to do now? The insanity has started again - "there's someone in my head but its not me." (Pink Floyd). i am Rohan |
There is no such thing as LimeWireLinux.bin anymore. Get the newest version, which is either an rpm or zip. |
Also, make sure Java is in your path, not simply "installed." |
