LimeWire Automatic StartUp Hi All, I've just correctly Installed LimeWire on my Fedora Core 1 distro. I got a LAN and MS clients, on my Linux Server I don't have connected any CRT or any other monitor. So the PROBLEM is : is possible to have Limewire Automatically start up when I poer on my server, without logging in? Any ideas? I have to look in /etc/init.d and start to brainwashing with scripts or something more friendly? Hi all and thanx a lot! Long Live to Linux Z |
That's a little difficult; are you running X on the server or not? If you don't want to have X running, the only thing you can do is rebuild limewire from source and run only the core module (its not as hard as it sounds). If you can have X running, see about adding an entry in .xinitrc or similar.. Anyone else have any ideas? |
Solved Just Solved. Simply created an user dedicated to the download, installed VNC server and set up to start at boot. When it start it launch a gnome session with auto startup of limewire, so i can connect to it from my clients or from my vpn connections. Thanks Hi all! Z-Ice |
