Default installation at Linux - support a noob ;-)

Hello everybody,

As I am new at Linux (wasted my last years with Windows), I don't know at all how to install a program. Could somebody help me? I downloaded Limewire and in my directory I have got a file "LimeWireSoftLinux.rpm" - what do I do yith it, how do I extract it or...hm...just help me please...;-)

Are you using a distro that supports RPMs? (eg. Mandriva, Red Hat)?

If so, make sure Java's installed, then double click the RPM file . Enter your root password when asked.
