Installation issue Hi, I am trying to install LimeWire on linux.I have downloaded Java and installed java 1.4.2 on linux and modified the entry on the profile file as specified on forum.when I do JAVA -version it displays the java version correctly. But when I try to install Limewire Rpm it displays "java 1.4.1 >= is required dependencies" Can any one please help with the work around so that I can install the limewire . Thanks in advance. Regards, Kaul |
Try installing with the zip file, the 'other' download. You didn't mention which linux you were using (I assume RPM based) or how you installed the java (an RPM or tarball). If you install something by source (tarball) it most likely won't be found by the package manager. |
Hi, Thanks for your reply.I am using redHat Linux 3.0 Enterprise. I am not using tarball but its Rpm.for Java Installation also I am using rpm only. Thanks for your help Regards, Kaul |
