Unhappy HELP!!! I can't RPM LimeWire into Linux!!!

I've got a serious problem with trying to RPM LimeWire into my Linux system. Here's what happens when I attempt the RPM command on my LimeWire RPM package:

root@slax:/limewire# rpm -i LimeWireLinux.rpm
rpmdb: region error detected; run recovery.
error: db4 error(-30981) from dbenv->open: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - (-30981)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
root@slax:/limewire#

It just sends me right back to the Linux prompt without doing anything at all! It's frustrating me so bad that I just want to scream! Can anyone out there help me, please???

Angry No go -- yet another error!

Didn't work... I tried your suggestion and attempted to RPM LimeWire again, only to get a new error:

root@slax:/limewire# rpm -i LimeWireLinux.rpm
rpmdb: /var/lib/rpm/Packages: unsupported hash version: 8
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Invalid argument (22)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
root@slax:/limewire#

Now what do I do?

Default no good.

Apparently I got a bad copy of RPM... because here's what the darned thing's giving me now:

root@slax:/# /usr/lib/rpm/rpmdb_dump Packages-ORIG | /usr/bin/db_load Packages
-bash: /usr/bin/db_load: No such file or directory
db_dump: open: Packages-ORIG: No such file or directory
root@slax:/# rpm --rebuilddb -vv
/usr/lib/rpm/rpmd: error while loading shared libraries: libelf.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
root@slax:/#

Can you do

Code:
rpm -rf /usr/bin/db_dump
to see what version of db4-utils you have? Sorry I can't be of any more help. Maybe someone with a rpm distro can help you...
