LimeWire using 100% CPU after some time When I start Limewire (newest version using java 1.5.6_u6) after some time itīss use 100% of my CPU, and the interface becomes unresponsive. After about a minute this will go away and limewire wilkl continue as usual. But this behaviour repeats every few minutes. Is this a known problem or what can I do. I thought about buying pro to get technical support but if this could be solved here it would of course be even better |

If that doesn't work you can try Java 6, it is a beta but it works fine on my machine. http://java.sun.com/javase/6/ |

BTW AFAIK LimeWire will not use Java 1.6 beta if you have other versions of Java on your system (for windows users.) So you'll need to remove them 1st. I presume Java 1.6 works ok on Linux. Another way to reduce drag on LW & your system is to do this: Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!. That instruction is by a mac user but same principle applies. |
