Default Help Please

I have sun's java 1.4.2_08 installed on my system placed in /usr/java, but when i start limewire via ./runLime.sh I get an output looking something like this

Starting Limewire...
Java exec not found in PATH starting auto-search...
ls: /usr/lib/j*: No such file or directory
OOPS, unable to locate java exec in /usr/lib/ hierarchy
you need to upgrade to JRE 1.4.x or newer from http://www.java.com
Java exec found in /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_08/bin/
OOPS, you don't seem to have a valid JRE. LimeWire works best with Sun JRE available at http://www.java.com [/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_08/bin/java = Error]

I had the same problem with the latest version of java also

could somebody point me in the right direction
