Default cant get limewire installed on ubuntu 5.10 breezy

Hello everyone!

Well I,ve tried following two "How-to's" on installing limewire and niether has worked!

The first one was from here: http://easylinux.info/wiki/Ubuntu#Ho....28LimeWire.29

After installing with this method, and refreshing the panel, No LimeWire shows up in
Applications>internet!

The second method was downloading a LimeWire rpm and creating a debien package from it, but that doesnt even come close to working!

First of all, the rpm tutorial did not specify wether to "open rpm using archive manager" or "save to disk" and I am newbie to linux!

BUT either way I still get this responce from the terminal after typing: sudo alien LimewireLinux.rpm

File "LimewireLinux.rpm" not found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check the Stickies in the General Linux section as I believe that describes how to do it. The Linux installation section was merged with the General Linux section some months ago. Check this link to find the Stickies: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumd...aysprune=&f=28

Thanks but I figured it out!

After looking closer, I realized that The run commands I was typing into the text files
were wrong in that, I typed them in instead of pasting them in from the tutorial that I found.

An example is, The tutorial showed 'LimeWire', I typed 'limewire'. No capital letters, DUH!

I went back into those files and capatalized a couple letters and BAM! LimeWire is up and running!

Thanks for the link!
