Exclamation newbie on mandriva 2006 linux

hello
I've mandriva 2006 since few days and it's my first linux system.. everithing is going quite right but i've an issue with limewire and because i'm new to linux world... i've no idea of where the mistake is!
I installed java, java website says it's working, I installed limewire and when launching it just loads for a minute and then it just disappear (i've no splash window)
i started in console the program as in readme.txt and I got this

$ sh ./runLime.sh
Starting LimeWire...
Java exec found in PATH. Verifying...
Suitable java version found [java = 1.4.2]
Configuring environment...
Loading LimeWire:
./runLime.sh: line 109: 6267 Segmentation fault ${JAVA_PROGRAM_DIR}java -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons .logging.impl.NoOpLog -Djava.library.path=. -jar LimeWire.jar
************************************************** ****************
Something went wrong with LimeWire.
Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java?
(LimeWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.4+)
The version of Java in your PATH is:
java version "1.4.2"
JamVM version 1.4.3
Copyright (C) 2003-2006 Robert Lougher <rob@lougher.org.uk>

and I've absolutely no idea of what this means

sorry if it's a stupid question but i'm very unskilled with linux

they say to change sh into bash in the first line of runLime.sh but it doesn't work anyway
I can't find other users with the same error (line 109)

./runLime.sh: line 109: 6267 Segmentation fault ${JAVA_PROGRAM_DIR}java -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons .logging.impl.NoOpLog -Djava.library.path=. -jar LimeWire.jar

what does this means? problems with the java dir?

I also tried frostwire (as they suggest in some topics) but i've the same error

normally I installed java 1.5, i installed 1.4.2 from the mandriva cd before but limewire detects the 1.4.2 is it possible that limewire make a mistake with the path ?
