ERROR 1612

THAT'S THE ERROR MESSAGE I RECEIVE AS I STATED ON ORIGINAL POST. THE FUNCTION TRIES TO ACCESS THE A: DRIVE (JUDGING FROM THE SOUND...., AS IN WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE A: DRIVE WITHOUT INSERTING A FLOPPY DISK) THERE ARE NO OTHER INDICATIONS.
I HAD PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED LIMEWIRE WHEN I WAS STILL USING A PHONE MODEM, BUT IT WAS TOO SLOW SO I UNINSTALLED IT. NOW THAT I HAVE CABLE I WISH TO RE-SUSCRIBE.

Are you guys talking about the Linux or the Windows installers?

Unregistered December 19th, 2001 05:29 PM

Windows 98 operating system. I'm guessing I'm missing or have corrupted files.

Anyone talking about windows should really be having this conversation in the Windows forum and not the Linux one, but oh well.

Do you still get these errors with the LimeWire 2.0 installer?

resolved for you?

First, make sure that all previous LimeWire versions are uninstalled in the Settings>>Control Panels>>Add/Remove Programs window.

Once you have done this, restart the computer, and run the installer again. Does that resolve your problem? I'll be on vacation for awhile, but I'll follow up when I return.
