ERROR 1612 THAT'S THE ERROR MESSAGE I RECEIVE AS I STATED ON ORIGINAL POST. THE FUNCTION TRIES TO ACCESS THE A: DRIVE (JUDGING FROM THE SOUND...., AS IN WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE A: DRIVE WITHOUT INSERTING A FLOPPY DISK) THERE ARE NO OTHER INDICATIONS. I HAD PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED LIMEWIRE WHEN I WAS STILL USING A PHONE MODEM, BUT IT WAS TOO SLOW SO I UNINSTALLED IT. NOW THAT I HAVE CABLE I WISH TO RE-SUSCRIBE. |

First, make sure that all previous LimeWire versions are uninstalled in the Settings>>Control Panels>>Add/Remove Programs window. Once you have done this, restart the computer, and run the installer again. Does that resolve your problem? I'll be on vacation for awhile, but I'll follow up when I return. |
