How do I uninstall on Ubuntu? I downloaded LimeWire for my laptop a few days ago. I saw some posts on Ubuntu Forums about alien packages, and I thought to apply this to the .rpm I downloaded from LimeWire's official web-site. I have alien, and the command I tried was: sudo alien -i -s *.rpm This generated an error, stating that -- single or -- generate couldn't be used with --install. Funny, since noone else complained. I then tried sudo alien *.rpm But didn't get any wiser of anything, so the next two commands were: sudo alien - s *.rpm sudo alien - i *.rpm When checking Programs>Internet I found LimeWire but it won't start. So, how do I uninstall this on Ubuntu when I didn't use Add/Remove Applications, aptitude or Synaptic to install it? OS: Ubuntu 6.10 CPU: Pentium 366 MHz (You're reading it right) RAM: 192 MB HDD: 6.2GB (Still reading it right) |
