LimeWire installation error

Running Slackware 7.0 with 2.2.16 kernel.

Installed Java 1.3.1_02.

java -version returns:

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_02-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_02-b02, mixed mode)

Running LimeWireLinux.bin gets to the "Launching installer" message, then exits with the following error message:

Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx50331648
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

What's up?
