Another Limewire freeze up (Fedora this time)

Hi all,
I am having very much the same problem as same problem as quite a few others it seems...

LIME-WIRE FREEZES ON SPLASH OR SHORTLY AFTER STARTUP.

Freezes whole computer ,complete lockup especially if you preview or go look at your library ,anything in fact except leave the thing alone after you've hit "Download" and even then it will probably sieze by the third song downed.

This is only happening with a specific computer which checks out OK on all other functions.

Limewire Free 4.12
Fedora C6
Dial up
NEC Versa C160 (Laptop)

I have exactly the same problem as you. Im using the same LW version && using a dial up connection.. Its becoming a real pain..
And whats worse is it never used to happen but when it does it freezes my whole PC.

Thanks for replying. It dosen't help that much to know that other people are in the same hole , but misery loves company I guess

I'm gunna try another distro ,probably mepis. I'll get back to you on how it goes.

I am having the same problem. I can start downloading a few songs and then my PC locks up. I have this happened on two different pc's. I am using PRO 4.18.3
