still having trouble I looked around in the other postings and there was one labled " Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/zerog/lax/LAX ( 1 2 )" towards the bottom of the thread, there is intelligent remark of renaming existing versions of java to java.old and linking (ln -s) the new java to that dir. It sounded great, but it didn't work for me. Any other suggestions would be great! Thanks! Brian Volk |

i too have tried and tried installed Jre 1.3.1 and jre 1.4.0 made sure to uninstall kaffe(as per instructions) sorted PATH in the console and in the Limewire.bin file to point to the correct directories,checked for any instances of old java (none found )the only thing i know for sure is there seems to be some unusual thing that mandrake does? but no one seems to know exactly what, very miffed at having to use windows |
