![]() Well, I checked the previous posts and I’m still having a hard time. I made the mistake of installing jre1.3.1_02-b02 (the rpm) without first removing kaffe. Of course, a jave –version returned jre1.1, so I thought this was why the limewire installer kept failing so badly. I read some posts here, so I uninstalled kaffe, and jre1.3. I then reinstalled jre, made a simbolic link to jave in the /usr/bin dir and a java -version returns 1.3.1_02-b02. however, running the Limewire install program still returns the same error: __________________________________________________ _____________________ [root@turtle src]# exec ./LimeWireLinux.bin Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Configuring the installer for this system's environment... Launching installer... Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. Thi s application will now exit. ![]() Well, seems I fixed my own problem, using the installer was a bad idea. I went to alternate donwloads from the limewire download page, found a version of limewire that was .tgz instead of a .bin installer. It works fine. Stupid installer was the problem. Scott |
