ln command I figured out the Kaffe uninstall and the jre 1.3.02 install okay, fine. But now even after having created the ln the following does not work java -version, but this works ./java -version so I think this is the reason why Lime is not running (I downloaded the tgz BTW can not deal with the RPM..argg) This is more of a Linux question, I am guessing it's related to the Shell I am using, but how do I get "./java" to be just "java" or can I use a different command and edit the RunLime.sh ?? |
Never mind ! I looked so much through this forum that I copy and paste the wrong ln command, so my link was pointing to the wrong Java file....Well I deleted that by doing rm /usr/bin/java and recreated the link as: ln -s /usr/java/jre1.3.1_02/bin/java /usr/bin after that doing: sh runlime.sh works fine since I downloaded the tgz and not the RPM... |
