If you didn't jack around with the settings All completed files are moved to
/Applications/Limewire/shared/
(In the shared folder which is in the Limewire folder which is in applications which is in your Hard Drive.)

I'll second that one. I just spent an hour downloading some mp3's. Limewire said all the songs were completed. So when I go the the directory where everything is supposed to be saved I find NOTHING. I searched my entire drive first with sherlock and then in the terminal w/ grep. Nothing. It's like I never downloaded them.

This is very frustrating. Anybody have an idea?

To the second poster. I don't have a "Shared" folder in the Limewire directory. I would think even if Limewire tried to default to that folder it'd honk at the user if it wasn't there.

Go check your preferences and see where your downloading to. (LimeWire rarely tells you when it's doing something wrong) You could've also killed a download halfway into that other download. For some reason some people get all their incomplete files moved to the Trash. You left it. Then when it finished DLing, you emptied the trash. there goes your hard earned DL.

Another thread discusses a similar problem: files vanishing from the `Incomplete' folder at some point during the download, while Limewire carries on downloading regardless. As a result, the files don't appear in your downloads folder afterwards. This may be causing the problems you're seeing here.

The thread is at: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...=&postid=33441

if you've renamed your HD since you last installed LimeWire it could be in /Volumes/Old hard drive name

I have the same problem from time to time. Don't know what the trouble is. Note to responders, if you sherlock or grep or find | grep your entire hard drive and the files cannot be found, they aren't on the disk. Not a matter of preferences, etc. They just aren't there.
