Uninstall partially unfunctional

I had need to try a new download of the the newest OSx limewire. I went to uninstall before hand and let it do it's thing. I sh*t canned the limewire folder. I then did a search of the HD for any lingerings of Limewire. I found a pref file and trashed that. Aft dwnldg the compressed file, I dragged and dropped it on the unstuffer. I reinstalled the citric bugger. Now get this, when it opened, all my prefs and the record of files in the library were the same as before the uninstall????? It was as if there was a hidden file or one I missed or some other musing. How 'bout comments.

when you uninstall LimeWire 2 pref files stay on is a sparks pref file and the other a (.Limewire) folder which is invisable, does that help.
