Hi,

I'm having major problems installing Limewire on a Mac OS X 1.1.4/ Latest Java system.

This problem has only manifested itself since I updated my system recently.

1) I can't run the installer. It downloads and decompresses fine, I get the appropriate icon for the installer but when I double click the icon the installer never launches. It gives a "fake" launch by showwing the frames of a window shooting out from the icon but then nothing else happens, no errors, nothing.

I have tried various tricks like unstuffing the download again and throwing the first one away, unstuffing in my home directory as opposed to my desktop with the same results.

2) Thinking myself a minor genious I booted back into a partition running X 1.1.2. I asked the istaller to install on the main 1.1.4 partition, which it did.

I rebooted into my up to date system, 1.1.4, and attempted to launch Limewire. Nothing happens. The console log tells me :

The installer log says 19 successes, basically no problems.

Can anyone help me with this?

osX .1.4 is old - .1.5 is newer. i have this version and the newest limewire and no problems. software update / system pref can update the version - see if you have the problem then.
