what has LimeWire got to say?! Lot's of us seem to be running into the same problem with limewire crashing our systems. This is a recent event as far as I'm concerned, I've used LimeWire from the begining. It simply spanks all other gnutella clients for mac. I don't want to use those other programs, they don't work like LimeWire used to work. Why isn't LimeWire responding to what seems like a widespread problem in their new version? More to a point of importance to the developers, why should I buy LimeWire if they aren't intrested in supporting their mac users? I expect this kind of apathy from some tiny freeware developer, but LimeWire wants to make money. Making money goes hand in hand with customer service. When do we get to hear from LimeWire about these crashes? JJ |
LIMEWIRE is FULL of VIRUSES............almost every other down load is virus infected............I want a refund!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm sure that LimewireLLC is very sorry, that common sense isn't included in the purchase. For some strange reason they expect the users to have some of it themselves. |
I'm A Bit Pissed...............my Computer Has Viruses From Limewire Music Downloads.........everything At Lime Wire Downloads Are Virus Infected!!!!!! I Repeat>>>>>viruses On Almost Every Doad Load !!!!!!!!!! Get A Refund |
I REPEAT>>>>>>>> VIRUSES ARE ON ALMOST EVERY DOWN LOAD !!!!!!! |
I didn't think Mac users had the same problems with viruses that Windows users have. Do you realise that you posted onto a Mac thread? Just in case you aren't even a Mac user:rolleyes:... the download page has a link "About Using p2p Software Safely": Lime Wire » About Using P2P Software Safely You should have read that info. Did you do any research at all, before you started using LW??? It's p2p - there's no control over what's shared. It's up to the user to protect themselves. You should have tried the free basic LW first. Then you wouldn't be wanting a refund:p Use the forum search to look for virus - maybe you'll find some info to help. Next time, be a bit smart. Make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan all files that you download - before you open them:rolleyes: |
no viruses on Macs Never once I have ever heard of anyone getting a virus on a Mac using P2P. Of course, common sense must kick in BEFORE you download something that looks strange. For sure, exe files don't work on Macs, so don't download them. |
