I can't search, or connect!!!!!! I have an iBook, running Mac OS 10.1.4, and I cannot get the search button to work, and the Limewire program tells me that I cannot connect. I'm connected to the internet at school. Any ideas on why I can't search, it allowed me once, and that was it! This really sucks! Please help. Thanks, Mandy |
Are You on an AirPort Network? Mandy I am having the same problems on my iBook and iMac both running 10.1.4 I am using an airport card an base station to access internet wirelessly and because of firewall issues with it, am unable to connect or search. When I hook my iBook up directly to the phone lines with a jack, ot works fine. So I was just seeing if you were using airport then we have a similar problem. If you fix the problem tell me... |
My computer is just hooked up to the internet through my ethernet port in my dorm room. Nothing more complicated than that. Any ideas? Mandy |
Sounds like you cannot connect to gnutella at all (at least not that easy, you would have to enter ip addresses of gnutella nodes you know manually because the official gnutella host caches are probably blocked). |
HELP!!!!! HELP ME!!!!! I don not understand how to fix my LimeWire. I am hooked up through the ethernet and the LimeWire will not connect. It worked with the dial up but not the ethernet. GRRR!!! HELP!!! |
Can't connect either I am having the same problem at a University. What do you mean enter IP addresses of nodes? |
same thing :o( Is there ANY way to get around this firewall?? Anyone have any IP addresses to enter? My school had blocked pretty much everything, this was my only hope for the new school year. ERIN |
If you school blocked almost everything then it's tough to provide a fix. You can try placing a gnutella.net file in your LimeWire folder. If you ask others at your school someone may have figured something out. |
I cant connect either Im also at a university hooked to the net through ethernet, and I also cannot connect or search.. Does anyone know the IP address that needs to be entered? I just had to pay money for this damn thing and i dont want it to not work!!!! I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me!!! THANKS!!!!! |
