Swing/Limewire menubar at top Hi, I noticed that in the latest 2.4.4 version of Limewire in Mac OS X, the menu bar is now located at the top like all other Mac apps. So I did some investigation and noticed that indeed Limewire is coded purely in Swing. Well, I have yet to look at the source code but numerous times I read in several locations that it was in Swing. This boggles me though. I thought that swing could not use the top menu bar. Is the Mac OS X ver of Limewire using Cocoa/Carbon at all to achieve this functionality or is this a supported feature in Swing? Thank you for your time, Eric |

See Apple Docs There is no magic here, this is a feature of the Apple Swing implementation. See the docs in the Apple Java technote: TN2042 This has details on how to do some simple mods to the Java source to make it more Mac like. |
