![]() I just had a question on the multisource downloading, how come i can only download from 2-3 sources when theres 8 people on my results list with the exact same file, i wish it was like kazaa where theres an option to find more sources |

![]() AFAIK limewire should do this automatically. I never figured out this whole swarm downloading thing, though. I always see only one host ip when I am downloading, even when I select a file thats available from 10 or 20 hosts. So I am really curious how you can tell you are downloading from 2-3 hosts... |

![]() As I understand it, this all depends on the availability of each of those x hosts -- so if a song is hosted by 4 people, limewire tries to connect to each. If you watch the in the download folder you will see as it checks the different addresses). Just as many times when you chose a song with only one host available, you may go into requery or busy, so with multiple hosts all or most of them may be busy. Limewire downloads from as many as are currently available and respond to your request -- if it's able to connect to more than one, it will say "Downloading from 2 hosts" or "Downloading from 3 hosts" or whatever, and you will see generally faster downloads on those. |
