![]() Since using Limewire 2.4 on my machine (OS X 10.1.5 and previously 10.1.4, Rev C iMac) I frequently experience Kernal Panics while running the application, shortly after quitting the application, and sometimes another panic upon restart after that. Is there something wrong with Limewire, MRJ, OS X, or my hardware? |

![]() I'm running 10.1.4, and the only time I've experienced kernel panic is when I've tried to use the eject button on my keyboard to eject a CD when I have CDs in both my internal and external CD players. I've never had a problem with kernel panic using Limewire. How much memory do you have? Have you tried running the Apple Hardware Test software? If you have a hardware problem, that should show it. |

![]() Thank you for replying to my post! ![]() I have 192mb RAM. Would you know where I can obtain the Apple Hardware Test? I've searched apple's knowledgebase looking for the download link before, without success. I've run Drive 10 from it's CD. It has only discovered minor volume structure errors on my internal HD, and nothing else. That's the only utility I have (I think) for OS X. |

![]() You should have the Hardware Test disk with the software disks that come with your Mac. You have to boot from the disk to run the utility--insert the disk into your cd rom drive, and restart while pressing the C key. If you don't have the disk, try contacting Apple--you may be able to purchase it, or if you're still under warranty get a replacement copy. You might also try running Tech Tools and defragging your hard drive. |

![]() if any of you have third party ram installed on your macs it is now well known that they are faulty. the computer kernel waits for an instruction from the ram and, it being flawed ram, does not ever complete the task so your screen reads "waiting for remote debugger connection" all you can do is grind your teeth and purchase, new, apple certified ram. if you don't have thrid party ram you should report the exact text on your screen to apple or to this bulletin and i will gladly see if i can help scatterbrain |
