I hope that someone else has experienced this; I've looked through the threads in OSX support back to April and I don't see any evidence of it.
I am using Mac OS X 10.1.5, and I have LimeWire 2.4.4 PRO. I have previously used LimeWire Basic, both on OSX and on OS9.2. Any time LimeWire is running and *any other program* is running, when I try to move a window around the desktop, it leaves endless visual trails of itself. If you've ever played Solitaire on a Windows machine - you know what the cards do when you win? How they fly off the screen, leaving endless imprints of themselves? That's what it looks like. Also, when I'm running LimeWire, even in the background, and I'm in two different other programs (say, Netscape or IE, and IRCLE or telnet), when I click over from one to the other, one window has 'eaten' the other - that is, there's a big chunk of one window missing exactly where the other window overlapped it. This only happens when LimeWire is running. It *never* happens at any other time. I find myself having to click on the LimeWire window and then back on to the other program every single time I want to rectify it. This is extremely annoying. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Thank you for your help. |

Yep, I've got the same problem and have no idea how to resolve it.

Same here. I'll bet it has something to do with Java. I have to make the LW window active, and then send it to the dock or hide it to be able to use other windows, ie Finder, or other apps.

I get the same thing, but with Outlook Express in Classic mode. I do have LW 2.4.4 and OS 10.1.5, but the vapour trail issue is only with Outlook. The "vapoured" area fills in once I am full in Outlook, however.
