I had that problem and then realized that LimeWire was still in the "Front". I clicked the desktop to bring up the Finder and then went Apple Menu, Force Quit, LimeWire. Also noticed that Lime wire gets stale when I minimize it to the dock. That is to say, it won't start back up for me until I do the above mentioned. Hope That makes sense.
