Default Shared files SLOOWWW to count

I updated to 2.5 recently and sicne the upgrade it takes FOREVER to count (bottom left corner indicator). I have ~4000 files in my shared directory and previous versions would count them all in about 20-30 seconds. 2.5 counts slower than 1 file per second. Ideas?

While I don't have that many files, I'm experiencing the same damn problem. After updating to 2.5.3, it no longer recognizes file that are in my shared folder. I've tried creating a new shared folder and copying files into it, then adding that in Limewire with no change. It may recognize 1 or 2 more files at random intervals. It currently only recognizes about 5 of the 60 files I'm attempting to share.

I suspect a corrupt .plist preference file somewhere, but haven't had any luck locating it.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a previous version of Limewire for OS X (e.g. 2.4.x?)

Cool

Hello!

The new LimeWire 2.5.3 should take longer to to count the files the first time it is started because it will Hash the files. But then it is supposed to be faster then previous versions.

If you preferr to use the previous version then you can download it from here:

Default Same problems, never counts files

I have about 10k files, and now I can't get this stupid program to count them. It usually quits after 4k. I have been sitting staring at it stuck @ 3038 files for over 30 minutes.

I hate this program & I really miss AG. Can anyone tell me if there are any other networks that work? This one is beyond broken & I can't even use the friggin program, as I can't get past the friggin sharing count & the friggin program sits there & I can't touch a thing. Beyond frustrating.

Over an hour is normal, if it doesn't quit. Running Latest "Pro" version, OSX.

This program & this network are not acceptable. Someone please help!
