Unhappy Poor Performance

I have been using Limewire for 6 months and have kept up with most of the updates as they were released. Starting with the last update I got v2.4.4) performance has been awful in terms of "Total Hosts" (i.e. - files available). I went from seeing 700-1000 hosts on many occasions , to now seeing less than 100 consistently. Is there a reason for this that I'm not aware of, or any advice to see more hosts? Thanks.
