Cannot launch Java application?? whats this?

Greetings-
new to the boards - new to macintosh - trying to fire up this Lime wire program I found and I get an error message " Cannot launch Java Application The main class "com.zerog.lax.LAX" could not be loaded" What in tarnation does this mean and how do I fix it- the Limewire installation seemed to work fine what can I do ?
