Converting .tif files to .jpg files

How do you convert .tif files to .jpg files? Some of my friends cannot view pictures I send them in .tif format.

GraphicConverter (shareware) will do it. There are other ways as well.

The Preview application in your Application folder ought to do it as well. (And it's free, although GC is definitely worth the $$!)
