Help Please

i am very distraught. i am using limewire and it doesn't connect to any of the servers. i am in a dorm and i know that the connection is fast because i have downloaded things from the internet. When it does connect the downloads are slower than molasses. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!!
