moving mp3s to itunes I have no idea how to move my mp3's that i've downloaded into my itunes program. i've tried before, but the computer crashes every time. thank you! |
to access the mp3s using itunes, open the file in which the mp3s are stored (probably the file you named or limeWire's default download file. If you did not name a download location, check LimeWire preferences/downloads to see download location file name.) also open itunes and create a new playlist-- title it anything. open the new playlist, so now three things are open: file containing mp3 downloads, itunes, and the new playlist. drag the mp3s into your new playlist. each time you drag a new song, you'll get a message advising you about another step -- moving the mp3 files into itunes from the download location. This is not necessary before either playing the songs or burning cds in itunes. Just click okay at that message and continue the process. |
I see this problem posted over and over. I am running osx 1.5 with itunes 2. All I did was start limewire go to preferences and uncheck the use limewire player option. Now the dl song is placed in the shared folder in LW. Once I double click it itunes opens it and it stays in my library and any playlist I choose to install it in. I have burned playlists to cd, downloaded all songs to my ipod with no problems. |
iTnes with the latest iTunes version ( 3.0.1 ) for OS X , yuo can also choose the "Files"menue, there "add to bibliothek" ( my personal german-english-mix) and choose the LimeWire folder, where it stores the songs. Then iTunes automatically copys the Files to ~/iTunes/iTunes music Folder |
