complete fvck up in 10.1.2!

Latest version of Limewire, sharing 2 files with 2 pending downloads.
Limewire freezes, then modem starts to disconnect.
Modem keeps disconnecting for about 3-4 minutes!
I click on modem in menu bar and click disconnect - modem bars still disconnecting!
Click on IE in dock and it bounces and bounces, so I try a force quit of Limewire and IE... NOTHING!
Limewire and IE finally stop bouncing so I try iTunes and the system cant find iTunes and tells me something like iTunes is located in documents?
Everything on screen goes blue and nothing will respond.
Get the Force Quit dialog box and it wont work, try to force quit finder and computer wont respond!
So as last resort, try power button and get computer to switch off then on then try iTunes again, still cant find the application!
Go to menu bar and restart - now all seems to be well again!??
I dont believe its a hardware problem so the only logical explanation is a pretty major bug in Limewire?
